We believe your holiday is best enjoyed when the whole family, including your
dog, can come along.
Our Pet Policy & Guidelines
As an independent, family-run business, we strive to offer a clean, relaxed, and
comfortable environment for every guest. To help us maintain our standards, please
review our dog guidelines:
- Dog Size & Capacity: Due to the scale of our lodge, we can comfortably welcome
one small-to-medium-sized dog per room (up to 20 kg). We exclusively welcome dogs;
other pets cannot be accommodated.
- On-Leash in Common Areas: We have two friendly dogs of our own living on site.
For the safety and comfort of all pets and guests, visiting dogs must be kept on a
lead at all times while in hallways and shared areas.
- In the Room: To ensure rooms remain pristine for subsequent guests, dogs are
not permitted on beds or furniture and must never be left unattended in the bedroom
at any time.
- Waste Disposal: Torwood Gardens is located right across the road, featuring
designated public dog waste bins. Please ensure all dog waste is disposed of
off-premises in these bins.
Pet Fee & Cleaning
To ensure every room is thoroughly sanitised and deep-cleaned
after each canine stay, a modest supplementary cleaning fee applies:
- Stays from 1 to 5 nights: Starting from £10 (one-off charge per stay).
- Longer stays or rooms requiring extra care may incur an adjusted fee.

Torquay and the English Riviera are wonderful destinations for dogs and their owners:
- Parks & Walks: Torwood Gardens is directly opposite the lodge, perfect for fresh morning walks.
- Dog-Friendly Beaches: Several nearby beaches along the coast welcome dogs year-round or seasonally.
- Local Dining: Many pubs, cafés, and bars around Torquay Harbour are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs.
